Mid-Century Italian Wooden Chest of Drawers, 1950s

This elegant, refined executive desk/drawer unit is an icon of mid-century modern Italian furniture, attributed to designer Vittorio Dassi and produced around the 1950s. Crafted from wood with a warm, natural finish, it features a slender, architectural structure characterized by clean, angular lines that alternate rounded shapes with sharp, raised edges, typical of the innovative spirit of the period. Dassi, known for his collaborations with figures such as Gio Ponti, favored noble materials to create sculptural and functional furnishings, often featuring decorative elements such as geometric inlays. This desk, perfect for collectors of vintage mid-century furniture, is a collector's item that combines practicality and aesthetic value.
